Scania has introduced the first ever battery-electric CrewCab CP31L 4×2 which is specially developed for fire, airports and civil rescues. This comes under Scania’s efforts towards electrification of their entire fleet of vehicles. The battery-electric vehicle has no emissions while also incorporating features which ensure its operational reliability in mission critical scenarios. The vehicle uses a high capacity battery of 356 kWh along with an operational range from 90% state-of-charge, and has been designed to operate under tough rescue situations without compromising on its performance, availability and crew comfort. The design features include free frame sides which provide maximum freedom to bodybuilders to customize the vehicle platform.
