ROHM Semiconductor Introduces High Anti-Surge Chip Resistors SDR01 Series for Compact Electronics

ROHM Semiconductor has come up with a new range of high anti-surge chip resistors that are available as the SDR01 Series and which feature a rated power rating of 0.33W in the 0402 (1005 Metric) package. Specifically designed to cater to electronic equipment becoming more densely packaged, the newly launched resistors are geared towards automotive, industrial, consumer electronics and AI server applications that demand space saving and reliability. ROHM has managed to optimize the resistive elements and electrode structures so that they can provide increased power capacity without compromising on reliability.

With the SDR01 Series, the customer is guaranteed 0.33W performance at a rated terminal temperature of Tk=125°C, making them ideal for use in high density circuits and regions close to heat-emitting components. The series is also able to offer temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) value of ±100ppm/°C over a resistance range of 10Ω to 2.2MΩ to make sure that any resistance change due to temperature variations is minimized. With its small size, high power rating, and good resistance to surges, the new series has been designed to meet the increasing requirements of the electronics industry.
