DEEPX and Ultralytics Partners to Set the Standard for Edge-Based Physical AI

DEEPX, a pioneer in ultra-low-power Neural Processing Units (NPUs), announced a landmark strategic partnership with Ultralytics, the visionaries behind Ultralytics YOLO. This collaboration unites the world’s most widely adopted computer vision architecture-boasting over 130,000 GitHub stars-with cutting-edge NPU hardware to streamline the deployment of high-performance AI at the edge.

Bridging Software Excellence and Hardware Performance

As the primary engine for global vision AI, Ultralytics YOLO models are the industry standard for robotics, autonomous driving, smart city infrastructure, and industrial automation, supported by an impressive 16.6 million monthly downloads. Through this integration, DEEPX’s hardware and software toolchain will become a native component of the Ultralytics ecosystem, allowing developers to transition from code to physical deployment with unprecedented ease.

The partnership highlights the mass-produced DX-M1 NPU as a premier platform for intelligent systems, offering the efficiency and power required for real-world Physical AI applications.

Key Partnership Milestones

The collaboration introduces several technical breakthroughs designed to eliminate the friction typically associated with hardware-specific AI deployment:

Native ‘format-deepx’ Integration: Developers can now export advanced YOLO models to DEEPX hardware using a single command, creating a standardized, simplified workflow for edge devices.

Production-Ready Pipeline: Automated quantization and validation technologies fill the technical divide between software and hardware through automation of processes.

Continuous Compatibility: A special CI/CD pipeline is developed to enable compatibility of DEEPX architecture with any new version and improvement of Ultralytics.

Developer Enablement: Through joint open-source activities, brand campaigns, and webinars, we aim at providing our global YOLO developer community with the means to create advanced Physical AI using DEEPX architecture.

“This alliance is about setting the de facto standard for Physical AI,” said Lokwon Kim, CEO of DEEPX. “By making DEEPX a native export target within the Ultralytics ecosystem, we are defining the new global blueprint for how real-world intelligent systems are built and scaled.”

“Partnering with DEEPX allows our massive developer community to seamlessly translate Ultralytics YOLO models into powerful, low-power Physical AI solutions,” said Glenn Jocher, CEO of Ultralytics. “Together, we are shaping how vision AI interacts with the physical world.”

This partnership underscores a shared commitment to democratizing AI, ensuring that the next generation of vision-based technology is not only smarter but also more accessible and efficient for global deployment.
