Arcadia, the foremost energy intelligence software for businesses, has officially stated that it has inked a deal to buy ENGIE Impact, the business sustainability consultancy and utility data management arm of international energy major ENGIE. The strategic move combines the legacy of thirty years and global presence of ENGIE Impact with Arcadia’s state-of-the-art artificial intelligence-driven platform.
A New Era in Energy Management Cycle
The deal marks the creation of an integrated ecosystem for companies trying to navigate through the challenges of their energy transition journey. Through the integration of both market players, the new system will be able to help companies efficiently handle all aspects of their utility data cycle, from automatic billing to energy procurement and sustainability reporting.
After the completion of the merger, the integrated system will cater to:
Customers: Over 1,500 corporate customers, with approximately 25 percent being Fortune 500 companies.
Operations: Over 4.5 million meters worldwide.
Money: Over $30 billion worth of annual utility payments.
“Enterprises have tried for too long to navigate fractured energy management processes on their own,” said Kiran Bhatraju, founder and CEO of Arcadia. “Together with ENGIE Impact, we’re fixing that. Our AI-powered platform roots out wasted spend, manual work, and missed opportunities, allowing businesses to save time and money at a moment of incredible volatility in energy markets.”

Expertise in Energy Consulting Coupled with Cutting-Edge Technology
The deal helps to bridge the divide between conventional energy consulting services and current technological advancements in software-as-a-service. While ENGIE Impact possesses profound expertise in energy procurement and sustainability advice, its abilities will now be amplified thanks to the advanced technology provided by Arcadia in managing and tracking energy data.
“Joining forces with Arcadia represents an exciting evolution for our team and our clients,” said Paige Janson, CEO of ENGIE Impact. “By combining Arcadia’s technology with our proven infrastructure and subject-matter expertise, we can deliver a level of transparency and efficiency that was previously out of reach in energy management.”
Continuity and Integration
The two companies will strive to ensure continuity throughout the entire integration process. As such, existing customers of both Arcadia and ENGIE Impact will receive continuous assistance and benefit from advanced capabilities in energy management and carbon accounting even during the transitional period.
