Kongsberg Satellite Services (KSAT) and Xoople have established a strategic partnership to support the deployment and operational scaling of Xoople’s satellite constellation. Under the agreement, Xoople has selected KSATlite-KSAT’s fully automated Ground Segment-as-a-Service (GSaaS) platform-to manage mission-critical satellite communications and high-volume data transport.
First introduced in 2016 to deliver standardized and scalable ground access for satellite operators, the KSATlite network has matured over a decade into a global infrastructure supporting missions ranging from single cubesats to multi-satellite constellations, maintaining a contact success rate exceeding 99.8%.
Xoople is deploying its orbital fleet to build Earth’s System of Record™, a real-time, continuously updated digital model tracking physical and environmental changes across the globe. By fusing Earth observation data, cloud infrastructure, and advanced artificial intelligence, Xoople translates raw geospatial feeds into actionable operational intelligence for government agencies and enterprise enterprise workflows.

Expanding Ground Network Capabilities for High-Volume Data Delivery
Under the expanded partnership, Xoople will leverage KSATlite’s global network of ground stations, including newly established sites, to execute high-throughput downlinks of Earth observation data. The infrastructure is optimized to minimize latency, facilitating the rapid transfer of space-based intelligence directly to ground-based end users.
The collaboration will also serve as a catalyst for next-generation feature enhancements within the KSATlite platform. To meet Xoople’s technical requirements, KSAT and Xoople are co-developing two key infrastructure upgrades:
Accelerated Data Pipeline: Streamlined ground-station-to-cloud data transport engineered to reduce latency for time-sensitive satellite data ingestion.
Automated Service Endpoints: Advanced API integration endpoints enabling satellite operators to automate down-stream constellation workflows directly.
These technical enhancements will be incorporated into the core KSATlite offering, providing upgraded capabilities to all future commercial and institutional missions across the network.
“Through our collaboration, Xoople has challenged us with ambitious requirements that continue to drive the development of KSATlite, including faster data delivery and increased automation capabilities. Because KSATlite is a standardized service, these enhancements will strengthen the offering available to future customers across the network. We look forward to continuing the partnership as the program progresses,” says Marte Indregard, President and CEO of KSAT.
“Reliable, scalable access to Earth data is a critical part of building the infrastructure behind Earth’s System of Record. By working with KSAT and its global KSATlite network, we are strengthening the data supply chain that enables us to continuously capture, process and understand physical change on Earth. This partnership helps ensure we can support the scale, frequency and reliability required to deliver trusted intelligence into enterprise workflows and AI-driven decision-making,” says Fabrizio Pirondini, CEO of Xoople.
Building the Future of Enterprise Earth Intelligence
This is certainly a historic step towards establishing a connection between space and cloud and connects the concept of continuous planetary monitoring by Xoople to the worldwide ground segment services provided by KSAT. Through the optimization of the satellite data value chain, the collaboration has been able to create a secure basis for the transformation of raw earth observation assets to valuable data streams for businesses.
For KSAT, this collaboration will result in the extension of both the geographical and software capabilities of the KSATlite solution suite.
