Asimov has announced a cell line development partnership with Kaigene to support the development of next-generation antibody therapeutics for pathogenic antibody-mediated autoimmune diseases. The collaboration covers the complete cell line development process, from vector design and synthesis to the production and shipment of a high-titer research cell bank for Kaigene’s multispecific antibody candidate. Kaigene’s platform is designed to selectively degrade pathogenic antibodies associated with autoimmune diseases, addressing the longer-term treatment options beyond conventional approaches such as steroids, immunosuppressants, and antibody therapies. Asimov will use its AI-driven vector design platform to evaluate molecule-specific vector configurations and conduct the campaign through its CHO Edge System, which combines a proprietary GS knock-out CHO host, hyperactive transposase, genetic parts library, and Kernel AI-driven genetic design software.
