AUTOCRYPT , an industry-leading provider of automotive cybersecurity solutions, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Anritsu , a pioneer in communications test and measurement solutions. The agreement, officially announced at CES 2025, underscores a shared commitment to advancing automotive security testing methods worldwide.
The collaboration will integrate AUTOCRYPT’s award-winning Cybersecurity Testing Platform (CSTP) with Anritsu’s Radio Communication Test Station MT8000A , which provides a simulated 5G network environment. The partnership aims to simplify and improve cybersecurity testing to ensure reliable protection for evolving vehicle systems.
“By combining our decades of cybersecurity experience with Anritsu’s network simulation capabilities, we are setting a new standard for security testing in the 5G era,” said Daniel ES Kim, GCTO at AUTOCRYPT. “Testing is often a laborious process that makes type approval difficult. However, with AutoCrypt CSTP, OEMs gain access to a customized, efficient testing platform. Our partnership with Anritsu will further optimize testing and enable OEMs to meet stringent cybersecurity requirements and provide a safe driving experience to more drivers.”

“With growing concerns about vehicle safety, cybersecurity testing has never been more important,” said Yukiharu Ogawa , General Manager of Anritsu’s IoT Test Solution Division. “We welcome the collaboration with AUTOCRYPT in providing the tools needed to test systems using our cellular network simulator. With this letter of intent, which will be formalized at CES, we are reinforcing our two companies’ commitment to a safer future.”
The MoU comes at a critical time as governments and regulators around the world are introducing more stringent cybersecurity standards for connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs). With frameworks such as UNECE’s WP.29 UN R155, 156, India’s AIS-189 and China’s GB/T standards, automakers and suppliers face increasing pressure to demonstrate compliance with these standards.
The cooperation between AUTOCRYPT and Anritsu will also enable comprehensive security testing for a wide range of applications beyond vehicle communication systems. The aim of the collaboration is to meet the diverse security requirements of modern connected mobility by providing the industry with an efficient solution for regulatory compliance and improving the reliability of a wide range of technologies.
