United Launch Alliance and Amazon Enhance Connectivity with Second Kuiper Launch

United Launch Alliance (ULA) and Amazon successfully launched the second batch of operational Kuiper satellites aboard an Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral on June 23, 2025, marking a significant milestone in Project Kuiper’s mission to deliver high‑speed, low‑latency internet worldwide. This mission adds 27 broadband satellites to the constellation, doubling the deployed total to 54 and bringing the network one step closer to bridging the digital divide in underserved regions. “We are proud to continue our strong partnership with Amazon and empower their mission to bridge the digital divide through reliable satellite technology,” said Gary Wentz.

ULA vice president of Government and Commercial Programs, adding, “ULA, working as a catalyst to global connectivity in collaboration with Amazon, enables delivery of these critical satellites designed to drive innovation and connect the world.” As part of the largest commercial launch partnership in history, ULA will oversee over half of the planned 3,200‑satellite Kuiper constellation, with six more Atlas V missions ahead before transitioning to high‑cadence launches via its next‑gen Vulcan rockets. This collaboration significantly advances space‑based broadband capabilities and intensifies competition with established services like SpaceX’s Starlink.
