Superior Energy Services has completed its previously announced acquisition of Sonic Holdings, LLC, a provider of proprietary electric feed through technologies (EFT), production equipment, drilling wellheads, and aftermarket services, marking a strategic expansion of its Wellsite Solutions segment. This acquisition adds another dimension to the portfolio of specialized services and products offered by Superior, and further expands its capabilities throughout the full life cycle of oil wells. Created in 2017, Sonic has managed to establish itself in the Permian Basin, thanks to its unique EFT technologies, light capital model, and the direct relationship with the operators, allowing for increased efficiency and cost savings of large exploration and production firms. Through the Sonic technology platform and its client base into the existing structure of Superior, the company expects to expand its service offering, increase customer engagement.
