Molex Acquires Smiths Interconnect for High-Reliability Connectivity

Molex has officially completed its acquisition of Smiths Interconnect, which is the biggest deal in the company’s history and a major expansion in high-reliability connectivity solutions. This acquisition is the largest in the company’s history and represents the expansion of the high-reliability connectivity solutions. The acquisition strategy brings together the technology of Smiths Interconnect in ruggedized connectors, RF products, and optical transceivers for mission-critical markets such as aerospace, defense, medical, and semiconductor testing. The acquisition would help Molex meet the rising demand for AI infrastructure and Medtech markets, as well as expanding the company’s footprint in 22 countries with over 90 plants and 55,000 employees worldwide.
