Cosylab Introduces PlanOne™ to Advance Precision Particle Therapy Planning

Cosylab has officially unveiled PlanOne cleared particle therapy treatment planning solution that integrates physics-based dose computation, biologically based treatment planning, and efficient workflows into one integrated system. This state-of-the-art solution was developed in cooperation with medical physicists and clinical experts and focuses on meeting the needs of particle therapy through a combination of superior computational accuracy and usability. PlanOne™ features a GPU-enabled Monte Carlo dose engine, making possible high-fidelity calculations of particle dose, Linear Energy Transfer (LET) analysis, and RBE variation modeling. This enables medical professionals to base their treatment decisions on reliable information.

An innovative approach in this product is provided by the ability of PlanOne™ to perform robust optimization that takes into consideration various user-defined scenarios and not just the worst-case scenarios that are often used during planning, leading to more realistic but still robust treatment plans. “PlanOne™ began with listening. Over the years, our work on control systems in radiation oncology has put us in direct, ongoing contact with medical physicists and clinical teams at some of the leading facilities in the world,” said Mark Pleško, CEO of Cosylab. “Our partners have been clear on what matters most for particle therapy physics accuracy they can defend, clinical confidence at the point of plan approval, and a platform built to grow with AI and adaptive workflows. We designed PlanOne™ around those three priorities, and we’ll keep developing it together with the clinical community that helped shape it.”
