SiFotonics Sampling Industry First 400G-ER4-30 Transceivers

SiFotonics Technologies Co., Ltd, a pioneer and global leader in optical networking solutions based on silicon photonics integrated circuits and components, announced availability of engineering sampling of industry first 400G-ER4-30 QSFP-DD optical transceivers.

The 400G-ER4-30 product solution enables 400G transmission over 30km, and is designed in compliance with newly released specification defined by 100G Lambda MSA , supported by over 45 industry leaders companies.400G-ER4-30 leverages on SiFotonics advanced high speed Ge/Si APD, integrated 4 times of 100G-PAM4 with O-band WDM at 400GHz channel spacing, supporting 400Gbps transmission over 30km with minimum dispersion penalty. This new product is designed with optical channel polarization arrangement to minimize nonlinear effect such as four-wave mixing (FWM).

The high capacity 400G solution over extended distance can be applied broadly from access aggregation, mobile backhaul, metro networking, enterprise cloud connectivity, and data center interconnects.

In addition, the 400G-ER4-30 can also inter-operate with 4 of the SiFotonics award winning 8x100G-ER1-nWDM transceiver modules in a 400G to four 100G break-out configuration, offering customers additional deployment flexibility. The product is now available for customer sampling.

SiFotonics will participate in Optical Fiber Communication Conference from March 5 to march 9th at San Diego Convention Center, with exhibition booth number 2230, and will show case a range of 100G, 400G and 800G new product solutions, including 400G-ER4-30 QSFP-DD.
