Materion Names Jason Moore President

Materion Corporation, a global leader in advanced materials solutions, announced the appointment of Jason Moore as President of Precision Optics. In this role, Jason will lead the Precision Optics business segment, which produces customized optical and thin-film coatings and components that enable advances across several megatrend-aligned industries including space and defense, life sciences, industrial, semiconductor and automotive. Moore joined Materion in August and reports directly to Jugal Vijayvargiya, Materion President and Chief Executive Officer.

Moore most recently served as Vice President and General Manager, Industrial Business Unit for TE Connectivity in Zurich, Switzerland, a global industrial technology manufacturing company offering a range of connectivity and sensor solutions. Moore’s previous roles include serving as TE Connectivity’s Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing, and in various sales, product management and operational leadership roles at Macromatic Industrial Controls and Eaton Corporation.

The business unit includes five manufacturing sites across the U.S., Europe and Asia. Materion Balzers Optics delivers next-generation optics solutions that enable innovations including solutions for Industry 4.0, semiconductor inspection, virtual/augmented reality, autonomous driving technologies, advanced optical systems for advanced driver assistance systems and head-up displays. Moore succeeds the former President of Precision Optics, Dr. Ian Tribick, who retired from Materion effective August 31.
