Werner’s comprehensive sustainability efforts include ambitious greenhouse gas emissions reduction goals, aiming to reduce emissions by 55% by 2035. The company has also integrated innovative fleet technologies such as compressed natural gas (CNG) engines, Class 8 battery electric vehicles, a hydrogen fuel cell truck and trailer aerodynamics enhancements. The company discloses Scope 1 emissions and has achieved a 16% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to its 2020 baseline.
