Kenco and GreyOrange Partner to Enhance Fulfillment with AI

Kenco, a top third-party logistics (3PL) provider, is teaming up with GreyOrange. This five-year partnership focuses on AI-driven warehouse software. Kenco will use GreyOrange’s GreyMatter MPOP in its fulfillment network. GreyOrange’s Certified Ranger Network will back this with robotic solutions.

This partnership shows Kenco’s commitment to modernizing fulfillment. It links people, processes, and robots using orchestration technology. This is key in fast-changing distribution settings.

GreyMatter’s AI-driven platform improves end-to-end workflows. It goes beyond traditional warehouse management. It covers everything from receiving and putaway to intelligent slotting strategies. Also, it handles real-time replenishment, dynamic case picking, and waveless order fulfillment. GreyMatter streamlines operations by releasing and prioritizing tasks in real-time. This approach eliminates the need for static shipping and receiving offices. So, coordination between inbound and outbound operations becomes seamless.

“This partnership accelerates our ability to deliver the most advanced, efficient, and scalable solutions to our customers,” said Kristi Montgomery, VP of Innovation, Research & Development at Kenco. “With GreyOrange’s GreyMatter orchestration platform, we can optimize every fulfillment process while maintaining the flexibility our customers expect from a 3PL partner.”

One focus area is dynamic case picking. GreyMatter assigns pick zones in real time. This balances workloads and cuts idle time. As a result, warehouse employees can focus on more valuable tasks.

The partnership adds point-to-point (P2P) pallet movement. It uses robots for horizontal pallet transport. This cuts down on unnecessary forklift travel. As a result, lift operators can concentrate on vertical storage and retrieval. The result is like a flexible automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS). It has no fixed infrastructure limits.

With GreyMatter, Kenco’s facilities are ready for automation. They can quickly adopt new processes, robots, or technologies as customer needs change. This scalable approach helps Kenco improve its cost-effective, future-ready fulfillment solutions with each deployment.

The partnership makes Kenco one of the first 3PLs to use orchestration technology at various locations. This strengthens its leadership in AI-driven logistics and boosts operational efficiency.

“We built GreyMatter to empower forward-thinking 3PLs like Kenco,” said Akash Gupta, co-founder & CEO of GreyOrange. “Together, we’re setting a new standard for how 3PLs deliver value – combining Kenco’s deep operational expertise with the intelligence and flexibility of GreyMatter.”
