AllerVie Health Names Tae Kim as New CEO

AllerVie Health, a national network of allergy clinics, announced Tae Kim will be the company’s new chief executive officer. The advancement from president to CEO reflects the company’s strategic plan. Chris Roussos, executive chairman of the board and former chief executive officer, will continue in his role on AllerVie’s board as executive chairman, where he remains actively engaged in key strategic activities on behalf of the company.

Kim, who joined AllerVie as chief operating officer in 2021, has focused extensively on aligning physicians’ goals with AllerVie’s growth strategies and creating partnerships designed to forward the objectives of both clinicians and patients. His approach has propelled AllerVie from nine clinics and eight physicians in 2020 to nearly 80 clinics and 100 providers by the end of 2023.

“I’ve had the privilege of working with and mentoring Tae since we partnered for the incredibly successful sale of Epic Health Services in 2016. His exemplary leadership, invaluable strategic insight, and unwavering commitment to our mission of improving healthcare services have been instrumental in establishing our position as a frontrunner in the allergy and asthma industry,” said Roussos. “Collaborating with Tae, I’ve seen firsthand how his understanding of the industry and ability to structure meaningful partnerships between physicians, the allergy community, and our organization have been critical to our success.”

Prior to joining AllerVie, Kim served as the chief operating officer and chief financial officer at Martin UAV, an aerospace technology company. Under his leadership, the company experienced significant growth, culminating in a successful acquisition by Shield AI, a leading AI defense technology company. Kim first began his career in healthcare in investment banking at Goldman Sachs, focusing on healthcare mergers & acquisitions, equity raises, debt financing, and corporate advisory. Additionally, he served as an Army Aviation Officer in the U.S. Army for eight years.

“Over the last three and a half years, Chris has laid an incredible foundation expanding AllerVie’s nationwide footprint, focusing our overarching objectives, and establishing the vision and team to execute AllerVie’s impact on allergy, asthma, and immunology on a national scale,” said Kim. “I’m looking forward to taking on the role as CEO and continuing AllerVie’s mission to redefine care and access in this specialty, setting new standards in healthcare excellence and innovation to exceed patient expectations. As Chris always does, he’s built a world-class team at AllerVie. I am honored to continue working with him in our new roles to advance the experience and propel positive change for our patients, physicians, and the allergy industry.”
