TAKKION Appoints Pete Bierden as President to Support Continued Growth and Operational Excellence

TAKKION, a leader in logistics, transportation, construction, operations, and maintenance services for the renewable energy sector, is proud to announce the appointment of Pete Bierden as President, effective June 16, 2025. Pete will be based at TAKKION’s Centennial, CO headquarters and will partner closely with CEO Jim Orr to lead the company’s executive team and business strategy.

A Strategic Leader with Deep Industry Expertise

Pete Bierden brings with him a distinguished career in leadership roles spanning the U.S. Navy, General Electric (GE), and multiple executive posts across the industrial and renewable sectors. As a former submarine officer and Certified Naval Nuclear Engineer, Pete built his foundation in technical excellence and disciplined operations. During his 20-year tenure at GE, he played a key role in building the company’s wind energy business from its inception.

His most recent role as CEO of Driver Industrial Safety, along with senior leadership positions at Amteck and Keystone Tower Systems, underscores his broad capabilities in P&L ownership, operational management, M&A integration, and strategic planning. Pete holds an MS in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
