SLB announced that its joint venture, OneSubsea, has been awarded a 13-well subsea production system contract, including associated equipment and services, by Total Energies for the Camiño Project development offshore Angola. The project will be deployed in two phases by Total Energies and its multiple partners in Block 20/11 to find oil fields at Cameia and Golfinho. SLB OneSubsea and Total Energies will work together to deliver a sustainable project to enhance production in Angola.
For the development of the Cameia field, the first phase of the Camiño project, SLB OneSubsea will work with Total Energies to deploy a highly configurable subsea production platform with standardized vertical monobore subsea trees, wellheads and control systems.
” We are excited about this opportunity to work with Total Energies to unlock the tremendous potential of the Camiño Project,” said Mads Hjelmeland, CEO of SLB OneSubsea. “Our collaborative contracting model leverages both standardization and a highly configurable subsea production platform to create greater efficiencies and long-term value for this project and future projects in Angola and around the world.”
The entire Caminho Project is expected to involve more than 10 million labor hours, primarily offshore operations in Angola and construction at local yards. SLB OneSubsea will play a key role in supporting the Caminho Project locally in Angola to perform offshore operations including assembly, module fabrication, installation, commissioning and Life Of Field services. First production is targeted for 2028, with an expected production of approximately 70,000 barrels of crude oil per day.
