Insta and US defense technology company CHAOS Industries announced a collaboration that will integrate CHAOS’ next-generation distributed observation and impact capabilities into an intelligent, data-driven command and control system developed by Insta.
CHAOS’s observation solutions have accumulated over 20,000 hours of surveillance operations worldwide, including in Europe and the Middle East, where the solutions are in use by the United States and its allied and partner forces. The company’s radar solutions and other products under development can be integrated with Insta’s AirC2 air defense management system to create a common situational picture. Insta’s AirC2 product family includes, for example, solutions for integrated air defense and fighter defense management systems.
The first European technology partnership
The collaboration agreement with Insta is the first that CHAOS Industries has signed with a European technology partner, enabling joint design and product development in areas such as sensor integrations and advanced radar, detection, identification and data transmission solutions.

– We see the operational reality across Finland and Northern Europe. Drone incursions reveal gaps that no single nation can address alone. This partnership is about bringing a distributed sensor layer to where it is needed most, before these gaps become consequences, says John Tenet , co-founder and CEO of CHAOS Industries .
– The collaboration creates a foundation for a new kind of product development and integration of advanced solutions. This new era of defense technology requires performance, fast product development cycles, cost-efficiency and agility to respond to market changes, says Petri Reiman , CEO of Insta Advance.
– Drones are now part of everyday life and the battlefield in Europe. Finland’s air defense is managed using our systems. Integrating CHAOS solutions into our own defense system could enable a cost-effective and comprehensive drone detection and countermeasure capability in the future, Reiman states.
The collaboration combines the companies’ expertise in countering unmanned aerial vehicles and supports the development of proven cost-effective solutions that meet the need for layered air defense across Europe. The first joint solution between Insta and CHAOS Industries will be demonstrated in Finland in the coming months.
