Kroll Appoints Karen Laureano-Rikardsen as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer

Kroll, the leading independent global risk and financial advisory solutions firm, announced the appointment of Karen Laureano-Rikardsen as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer (“CMCO”). As Kroll further expands its presence and client base around the world, Laureano-Rikardsen will spearhead the firm’s comprehensive marketing and communications strategy to support its business objectives and continued growth.

In her role, Laureano-Rikardsen will oversee Kroll’s global marketing strategies, internal and external communications, as well as financial communications, corporate reputation, crisis and issues management and corporate affairs activities. As the steward of Kroll’s global brand and reputation, Laureano-Rikardsen will work closely with Chief Executive Officer, Jacob Silverman, and Chief Growth Officer, Rachel Posner, to drive growth and brand affinity by elevating awareness of Kroll as a category leader through powerful storytelling, marketing initiatives, creative content, industry affairs and media relations.

Laureano-Rikardsen brings more than two decades of experience as a strategic communications and marketing leader, most recently serving as Chief Communications and Marketing Officer for Cantor Fitzgerald since 2015. In this role, Laureano-Rikardsen oversaw the integrated communications and marketing departments for the Cantor Fitzgerald parent company and its publicly traded affiliates, BGC Group and Newmark Group, creating the infrastructure for automation, distribution and measurement across the entire organization. Prior to joining Cantor Fitzgerald, Laureano-Rikardsen served as Head of Corporate Communications and Marketing for CRT Capital Group, where she led public relations, internal communications and marketing. She also held senior roles at Credit Suisse and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein.
