When a Mazda driver requests roadside assistance, the system automatically broadcasts real-time “Slow Down, Move Over” digital alerts directly to approaching drivers via compatible vehicle dashboards and mobile navigation applications-extending safety protection beyond the vehicle itself.

Real-Time Digital Alerting for Disabled Vehicles

The collaboration creates an automated, connected safety ecosystem that bridges driver assistance calls with real-time road hazard telemetry. The feature is immediately active across all eligible Mazda vehicles equipped with 24/7 emergency roadside assistance capabilities.

Automation of Dispatch: Upon triggering of the roadside assistance alert by a driver using the MyMazda app or calling a toll free number, AAA deploys a local service provider and sends geographic location information to HAAS Alert simultaneously.

Instant Broadcasting of Digital Alerts: HAAS Alert’s Safety Cloud Protect broadcasts a digital alert about a disabled vehicle ahead to approaching vehicles via a digital alerting network in eligible regions.

Multiple Delivery of Alerts: The digital alerts are delivered to approaching vehicles through compatible in-vehicle infotainment centers (Stellantis EVAS for instance) and mobile navigation apps (Waze for example).

Extending Awareness of “Slow Down, Move Over” Laws: This digital alerting network enhances the move-over laws of states by giving an advance notice to the approaching drivers several miles before the hazard lights or tow trucks can be seen.
