Eaton, the intelligent energy management company, has just announced that its IntelliConnect remote diagnostic technology can now collect and analyze Cummins powertrain trouble codes in addition to Eaton Cummins automated transmission codes. The result of this development is increased value for its global powertrain customers.
“Fleets using Cummins Integrated Power, comprised of a Cummins engine and a Cummins automated transmission from Eaton, can now use IntelliConnect to view fault codes for the entire powertrain. That way, they can determine needed repairs faster,” said Bobby Robinette, Eaton’s director of Digital Service Solutions. “Beyond simply reading engine and transmission codes, our vehicle combination systems experts create comprehensive action plans for each trouble code that provide recommended actions for resolution.”
Eaton’s IntelliConnect with Cummins engine diagnostics capability is now available in North, Central and South America.

IntelliConnect Remote Diagnostics monitors near real-time for vehicle trouble codes, prioritizes critical events, and proposes comprehensive and accurate action plans by our expert technicians that reduce unplanned downtime and enable faster diagnosis of necessary repairs. The IntelliConnect system allows the operator to determine if a vehicle needs to be serviced immediately or if there is time to schedule future maintenance. Additionally, IntelliConnect offers repair suggestions so operators can have the necessary parts ready instead of having the vehicle in the shop waiting for parts.
