Applied Intuition Inc., a leader in physical artificial intelligence, and HUMAIN, a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company delivering end-to-end AI infrastructure, have announced a strategic partnership to pioneer national-scale autonomous systems. The initiative will launch with driverless freight transport and subsequently expand into robotaxis, port operations, mining, and other commercial sectors.
The multi-year commercial agreement pairs HUMAIN’s sovereign AI infrastructure in Saudi Arabia with Applied Intuition’s comprehensive physical AI technology stack across industrial sectors.
Building National-Scale Physical AI Infrastructure
The initiative aims to build the world’s largest autonomous freight network, targeted to deploy thousands of self-driving commercial trucks across key logistics corridors in Saudi Arabia by 2030. This marks the flagship program under HUMAIN’s physical AI strategy, extending artificial intelligence beyond conventional data centers into real-world operational systems.

While autonomous trucking serves as the initial deployment phase, subsequent program stages will scale physical AI across additional industrial domains. Driverless freight offers a high-impact proving ground to modernize critical supply infrastructure, driving productivity, supply chain resilience, and regional economic growth. To support technical execution, Applied Intuition has opened an office in Riyadh.
“Autonomous trucking will change the economics of moving goods and people,” said Tareq Amin, CEO of HUMAIN. “Our goal with Applied Intuition is to make this region the first to deploy autonomous trucking at scale. Thousands of autonomous trucks operating around the clock can transform the speed, cost, and capacity of our logistics network, with a multiplier effect across economies. We have an opportunity to set a global benchmark for autonomous freight.”
“Physical AI is the next frontier of intelligent infrastructure, and Saudi Arabia has the ambition to deploy it at unprecedented scale,” said Qasar Younis, co-founder and CEO of Applied Intuition. “Our vision with Applied Intuition is to bring intelligence to a billion machines around the world, and this is exactly the kind of national-scale deployment we built our platform to enable. We’re proud to partner with HUMAIN to help create the future of physical AI in the country.”
Full-Stack Autonomous Vehicle Technology
The deployment relies on Applied Intuition’s multi-domain autonomy stack, built to adapt across diverse sectors like freight, mining, agriculture, and construction. The core engine-Applied Intuition’s Self-Driving System (SDS)-will operate alongside its proprietary Vehicle OS and vehicle intelligence solutions. The SDS platform is actively operating on public roadways across the United States, Europe, and Japan.
The country’s main freight corridors, terrain, and strategic investments in logistics make the development of driverless trucks favorable in terms of scale. Autonomous trucks operate around the clock in contrast to those driven by humans, thus increasing the volume of freight transport, fleet efficiency, safety on the highways, and reducing the problem of shortage of commercial drivers.
Engineering Skills of the Region and Regional Expansion
Applied Intuition, being committed to the investment in the Kingdom for an extended period of time, develops a local engineering team in the Riyadh office. The company will employ highly skilled engineers engaged in operation and management of autonomous fleets.
Within this cooperation, HUMAIN and Applied Intuition hope to transform Saudi Arabia into one of the key centers for autonomous logistics in the world.
