Graybar, a prominent North American distributor of electrical, industrial, automation, and connectivity products, in addition to providing specialized supply chain and logistics management services, has completed a definite agreement for the purchase of New Jersey-based Samson Electrical Supply. The deal is anticipated to be closed by early August, pending customary closing conditions.
Founded in 1949 and based in South Plainfield, New Jersey, Samson Electrical Supply has become known in the area as a full service electrical distributor. The company provides a wide range of electrical supplies, customized lighting fixtures, power distribution equipment, and MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) services. The company’s customers include commercial, industrial, residential, institutional, and utilities sectors in the area.
Post-acquisition, the Samson Electrical Supply company will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Graybar. The company will maintain its original corporate name and will continue to work with the same staff and vendor contacts.
