Tigo Energy Unveils New GO-Optimized Energy Storage System

Tigo Energy, a worldwide frontrunner in sophisticated solar and energy software solutions, has declared the introduction of a Tigo GO Battery. This modern energy storage system is the latest addition to the Tigo GO product range in Europe, alongside the GO EV Charger and GO Junction for effortless heat pump integration.

Perfect for utmost dependability and quick rolling out, the GO Battery is a compact, plug-and-play modular system that can be easily expanded up to 47. 9 kWh. Built to withstand variable weather conditions in Europe, it works effectively even when the temperature drops to -30C. Pre-order requests for installers for Tigo have been opened, and the company intends to commence shipments in June 2026.

Meeting Unprecedented Requirements in Europe

The GO Battery launch comes at an unprecedented period of solar energy production in European nations due to the increase of solar installations by 11% in 2024 and 2025. The GO battery, launched by Tigo, meets this demand in the market by providing maximum flexibility through its 3.68 kWh basic module.

It allows installation in custom-made setups that range from a low-end configuration of 7.3 kWh to a 47.9 kWh battery system depending on usage needs. This battery system weighs just 34 kg, making it portable enough for easier handling in tight spaces, thus saving much installation time. Most importantly, this innovative modular design is future-proof and allows expansion of capacity over time.

“Across Europe, homeowners want more control over how they generate and use energy. With the GO Battery, they can store self-generated solar power and use it as needed, while also benefiting from seamless integration into the Tigo EI ecosystem, whose features we are continuously expanding towards smarter grid integration. This allows households to reduce their reliance on the grid and manage their energy consumption more efficiently in the long term,” said Mirko Bindi, Senior Vice President Sales EMEA and Managing Director Europe at Tigo. “The GO Battery was developed in close collaboration with installers. It features a modular architecture that simplifies system planning and installation, while offering the flexibility and reliability required for a wide range of residential applications.”

Seamless Integration and Intelligent Management

GO Battery is 100% backwards-compatible with all of Tigo’s existing range of inverters on the market in Europe, including the company’s residential Tigo EI solution. With capabilities in both single and three-phase designs, GO Battery can provide the homeowner with up to 50 amp charge and discharge rates, allowing for quick energy turnover in homes with changing usage.

Technical and Safety Features:

Advanced Cell Chemistry: Reliably using Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) cells.

Durable Construction: IP65 rated casing that can be used both indoors and outdoors.

Smart Monitoring: Seamless integration into the Tigo EI ecosystem provides monitoring down to each individual module level to reduce servicing needs.

Certification: Certified CE and UKCA, complying with strict European standards like VDE-AR-E2510 and CEI 0-21.

Tigo Energy, leading the way with cutting-edge technology and dependable hardware, brings decentralization of solar energy generation back into play for Europe.
