The Employee Assist is a voice AI-enabled product which is designed to retail employees to get the necessary information they need at a particular time without even using their hands. This launch is projected to enhance employee efficiency which ultimately will lead to better customer experience.
The solution is now live across Peet’s core U.S. retail locations and is being expanded to all coffee bars nationwide. Internally branded as “BaristAI,” the voice-enabled assistant allows employees to quickly access accurate answers to workplace questions-without needing to consult manuals or interrupt colleagues during busy service periods.
Real-Time Support for Frontline Teams
Accessible via headset microphones or digital tablets, the always-on AI assistant leverages natural language processing to provide instant support for a variety of operational needs such as:
Beverage preparation: Step-by-step recipe assistance, seasonal drinks, and customization, in addition to recipe cards
Nutritional questions: Quick access to allergens and calorie information for menu items
Operational procedures: Instructions for daily store activities such as closing processes or supply management
Equipment troubleshooting: Real-time help for resolving common issues with coffee machines and other equipment
