Jones-Hamilton Co. Announces Acquisition of Nexchlor LLC

ones-Hamilton Co. (JH), a leading producer and marketer of hydrochloric acid (HCl) and sodium bisulfate, has announced its acquisition of Dallas-based Nexchlor LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Copperbeck Energy Partners LLC (a portfolio company of Tailwater Capital). Based in Maumee, Ohio, JH operates chemical manufacturing operations in South Carolina and Ohio, serving customers in over 20 countries with a variety of branded and commodity chemicals for a wide variety of markets including animal health and nutrition, water treatment, oil and gas, steel processing and specialty chemicals.

As part of the Nexchlor acquisition, Jon Cupps has joined Jones-Hamilton in the role of Division Manager of the company’s Chemicals Division with responsibility for JH’s hydrochloric acid business and related chlor-alkali sales activities. Cupps brings over 20 years of diverse chlor-alkali industry business management experience to JH. In addition to its three HCl manufacturing units, JH has built an extensive North American logistics network including terminals, a railcar fleet of over 300 cars, and a large tank trailer fleet. JH is a member of, and committed to, the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care® initiative focused on safety and sustainability.
