Tigo Energy, Inc, a leading provider of smart solar and energy software solutions, announced a series of powerful and customizable new capabilities for the Tigo Energy Intelligence (EI) platform. Applicable solar monitoring and insights gained through new approaches to reconfigure, upgrade and tiering will enable even small and medium-sized installers to sustainably manage their growing portfolio of solar customers. These platform enhancements come as the U.S. solar installations pass the 5 million mark and as the industry considers how to manage operations and maintenance, a number that is expected to double by 2030 and triple by 2034.
The Tigo EI platform now offers an upgrade option that provides installers, asset managers, and individual system owners with more of the right information at the right time through an easy-to-use user interface. Most notably, for the rapidly expanding installed base, EPCs, and operations and maintenance providers, the new EI Professional suite provides a centralized view of critical health and performance data for each system being managed. In addition to a scalable monitoring experience and a clear, unified pricing model, the EI Professional suite also includes:
- With one-click registration, you can have unlimited access to all managed systems throughout the company.
- Portfolio-wide dashboards that prioritize key data such as health, production, performance, equipment status, location data, and commissioning time tracking, and
- Time-saving features including advanced tagging, grouping, and site filtering for improved management, maintenance, optimization, and trend analysis.
Solar installers can use the Tigo EI platform to gain in-depth insights into installation status, reduce operating and maintenance costs, and monitor power generation and system performance. The standard system-by-system monitoring view (now called EI Basic ) remains free and includes module-level resolution and insights into third-party hardware. For more advanced monitoring and analysis tools, historical data, minute-level monitoring resolution, etc., you can easily upgrade to EI Premium within the platform .
“As the number, size and complexity of our residential and commercial systems grow, we’ve found that the only way to scale is to fully monitor, diagnose and optimize them,” said Garrett Brandt, owner of Radius Energy. “If you consider the cost of a single truck rollover or the opportunity cost of a week’s delay in invoicing after commissioning, both are immediately avoided by opting for a paid subscription. The capabilities now available in the Tigo EI platform not only add value in terms of cost savings, but also open up new opportunities for us as installers.”
Installer training materials for the EI platform are now available on Tigo Academy , which provides an efficient way for new and existing customers and installers to learn how to achieve optimal system performance and customer satisfaction with Tigo software through hands-on demonstrations and tutorials.
“To stay competitive, installers must be more flexible and offer more post-installation services, which is why the Tigo EI platform is becoming more sophisticated and advanced to provide the right management tools for the variety of customers we serve,” said Archie Roboostoff, Vice President of Software at Tigo Energy. “Software plays an increasingly important role in ensuring solar deployments are performing at peak performance, while continually analyzing trends to identify areas for improvement. The EI platform is designed to identify system issues before production is impacted, giving system owners the quality and reliability they demand.”
