Carestream Announces New Enhancements to CARESTREAM DRX-Evolution Plus System and ImageView Software to Improve Technologist Experience and Patient Workflow

Carestream Health announces the latest evolution of its innovative, industry-leading imaging solutions with new enhancements to its ImageView Software and DRX-Evolution Plus System.

The latest version of ImageView software, 2.1, adds new smart room options to existing smart room features, including virtual long view, virtual collimation, patient position monitoring and image, positioning overlay and align assist.

These features enable radiologists to quickly confirm precise positioning, resulting in more consistent and productive imaging – providing a faster path to diagnosis and treatment.

“Carestream continues to improve the productivity of our DR product line,” said Steve Romocki, worldwide product director, Digital Radiography (DR) Room Systems. “These latest improvements address that need by providing camera-based positioning capabilities that result in faster, more accurate positioning, fewer retakes, and more comfortable exams for patients.”

The latest improvements also include a detector alignment tool for rapid assessment of detector position in non-buckybore environments, ensuring solid alignment between the tube and detector, which not only improves radiologist confidence but also reduces the chance of grid cut-off.

In addition to new software innovations, the company also unveiled new features for its DRX-Evolution Plus Digital Radiography System, including the latest features in ImageView 2.1 software, as well as a new reliable grid frame for wall stands, two-way audio assist, patient image options and AEC edge location on the console screen.

These new innovations join Carestream‘s extensive portfolio of imaging solutions, which includes tube line visualization, pneumothorax visualization, low-dose patented dual-energy bone suppression, digital tomosynthesis, AI-based smart noise cancellation and more.
