Pixxel, an India-US-based space technology company specializing in hyperspectral imaging satellites, has partnered with Manufacturo, a next-generation manufacturing management system, to enhance its satellite production processes. This collaboration aims to replace Pixxel’s reliance on spreadsheets and manual workflows with a modern Manufacturing Execution System (MES) foundation, streamlining production and ensuring comprehensive traceability. Kshitij Khandelwal, Co-founder and CTO of Pixxel, emphasized the importance of this transition: “As we scale our hyperspectral satellite constellation, our operational complexity is increasing rapidly. Manufacturo’s platform gives our engineering and production teams the flexibility to build efficiently, while ensuring every component is traceable, every step is recorded, and every mission meets our exacting quality standards. This partnership is critical to our next phase of growth.”

The implementation began with a structured pilot program, including a dedicated sandbox environment and hands-on training, and fully transitioned to Manufacturo’s platform in April 2025. Miroslaw Baran, Project Manager at Manufacturo, highlighted the strategic nature of this move: “Pixxel is pioneering a bold new standard for satellite intelligence – and that demands an equally advanced approach to production. Their choice to move off spreadsheets and fragmented systems is a strategic one, and we’re proud to be building alongside them. With Manufacturo, they can orchestrate production with precision, connect digital threads across locations, and maintain full auditability as they scale globally.”
