VeriSilicon’s vector graphics GPU awarded by LG Electronics

VeriSilicon announced that LG Electronics, Inc. (LG) has selected the company’s mass-market proven, low-power graphics processing unit (GPU) GCNanoUltraV 2.5D for its next proprietary SoC (System-on -a chip) for various applications to equip them with impressive graphics functions.

VeriSilicon’s Vivante GCNanoUltraV 2.5D GPU includes the company’s self-developed compact low-level VGLite API driver to support the popular Light and Versatile Graphics Library (LVGL), which enables the creation of visually appealing user interfaces (UI) on a variety of Hardware platforms enabled. The GCNanoUltraV 2.5D GPU also supports Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) with VeriSilicon’s open source tool, SvgVGLiteRenderer, which parses SVG files and renders SVG content via the VGLite API.
