Richardson Electronics, the leading designer and manufacturer of electronic and power products, announced that it has entered into a global technology partner agreement with Nxbeam, the leading fabless millimeter-wave semiconductor organization. As per the agreement, Richardson would help its customers procure a wide range of high power microwave Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs) at frequencies ranging from 12.5 to 76 GHz, with output power levels going up to 46 dBm. These products would be developed by Richardson in collaboration with Nxbeam.

The global technology partnership between Richardson Electronics and Nxbeam will offer Richardson’s worldwide field engineering, demand creation, manufacturing, and global supply chain capabilities along with Nxbeam’s proprietary designs and core intellectual properties. Together, Richardson and Nxbeam are committed to supporting the development, qualification, as well as production, of Nxbeam-based high power microwave and millimeter wave solutions for mission-critical applications across diverse markets, including industrial, medical, defense, semiconductor, renewable energy, and scientific. As part of the technology collaboration, Richardson will also offer comprehensive engineering services, providing application-level support for supply chain reliability and long-term solutions, along with other dependable high-reliability options for mission-critical applications for their respective clients.
