MaxLinear Powers Samji’s Single-Chip Radio for Macro Open RAN Radio Unit

MaxLinear, Inc. announced that Samji Electronics has selected its Sierra single-chip radio system-on-chip to power the SNOO2-44N28 Macro Open RAN Radio Unit, targeting modern carrier-grade macro cellular deployments with higher output power, strong energy efficiency and a compact, lightweight design. Built around MaxLinear’s advanced digital pre-distortion and production-ready software platform, the new radio significantly reduces power consumption and thermal requirements while meeting spectral emissions targets, enabling smaller form factors, simplified installation and lower total cost of ownership. The Sierra platform also streamlines development and lowers integration risk, helping Samji Electronics accelerate time-to-market for next-generation Open RAN infrastructure.
