HARTING Americas Unveils Three New Product Lines to Drive Smart Factory Innovations

HARTING, the gold standard in connectivity for industrial environments and mission-critical applications, announced the launch of three new products designed to meet the evolving demands of modern automation systems. The new solutions include the Han® Protect connector, the D-Sub PushPull connector, and Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) technology tested and proven in partnership with some of the biggest North American Class 1 freight railroads at a railroad testing facility.

“As smart factories become more advanced, seamless power and data connectivity is critical,” said Goda Senn, Product Manager, HARTING. “Connectors aren’t just components-they’re enablers of automation, efficiency, and safety. These new solutions help manufacturers address growing demands for performance in increasingly compact and rugged environments.”

The global industrial automation market is projected to reach $378.5 billion by 2030. Across sectors-manufacturing, logistics, transportation, and beyond-organizations are scaling automation to reduce operational costs, increase throughput, and gain a competitive edge. HARTING‘s advanced connectivity solutions are at the core of this transformation, enabling smarter, faster, and more efficient systems.

“While cost pressures are real, manufacturers can’t afford to compromise on quality or reliability,” said Jon DeSouza, CSMO & Member of the Board of the HARTING Technology Group and President & CEO of HARTING Americas. “HARTING delivers long-term value through engineering excellence, robust design, and a focus on total cost of ownership. We’re proud to support manufacturers with in-region design, production, and support.”

Han® Protect Connector delivers externalized fuse for faster maintenance and compact designs. This innovative solution integrates a fuse directly into the exterior of the control cabinet-simplifying maintenance and saving valuable panel space:

D-Sub PushPull Connector ensures enhanced industrial connectivity without tools. Based on the industry standard D-Sub interface, the PushPull variant introduces key enhancements for industrial environments:

The SPE-based communication solution for locomotives was developed in partnership with some of the biggest North American Class 1 freight railroads in an effort to digitally modernize the locomotive-to-locomotive MU communication network.

HARTING continues to invest in R&D and local manufacturing to support the growing demand for smart factory solutions across North America. The company’s approach is backed by its in-region operations model which delivers local engineering, design, and production, while creating more reliability, shorter lead times, and more sustainable shipping practices.
