Business Intelligence Group announced that Belkin has been selected as a recipient of its 2023 Sustainability Awards Program. In the Sustainability Initiative of the Year category, Belkin was recognized for its efforts to transition to post-consumer recycled plastics (PCR). The Sustainability Awards celebrate people, teams and organizations that make sustainability an integral part of their business efforts and overall company mission.
After careful consideration over the past 12 months, Belkin has decided to reduce plastic waste by reusing it to create new products. As well as developing new products responsibly, Belkin is rethinking its existing high-volume manufacturing portfolio by implementing PCR, working towards 100% plastic-free packaging and reduced package size.
As a first step, Belkin is working this year to use a minimum of 72% PCR in 17 of its most popular products without compromising quality, durability or safety.
