Limacorporate and Orthofix Medical Announce Partnership

Limacorporate SpA, a global orthopedic company focused on digital innovation and patient-friendly hardware, and Orthofix Medical Inc, a global spine-focused medical device company and orthopedics, announced a license agreement for the US market to provide a novel solution for patients with the challenging disease of chronic high hip dislocation.

The partnership combines the unique limb-lengthening technology of Orthofix’s patented Fitbone intramedullary nailing system with LimaCorporate’s proprietary 3D-printed pelvic fixation device specific to each patient. Once surgically implanted, the devices work together with the goal of allowing surgeons to retract the femur into an anatomically correct position, thereby correcting the leg length discrepancy, reducing stress on the spine and allowing for total femur replacement. hip below.
