Rootstock Software Extinguishes Inefficiency for Premier Fire Protection Equipment Manufacturer with New Cloud ERP Solution

Rootstock Software announced that Engineered Corrosion Solutions (ECS), a premier fire protection equipment manufacturer, has selected Rootstock Cloud ERP built on the Salesforce Platform to support the company’s next stage of growth and success. ECS will be leveraging Rootstock to manage its financials, inventory, and production, and to provide mobile capabilities on its shop floor.

“We’re thrilled to work with a company of ECS’ caliber,” said David Stephans, Chief Executive Officer at Rootstock Software. “As an award-winning manufacturer of corrosion control solutions for fire protection systems, the company has experienced tremendous growth over the past five years. Our Manufacturing Cloud ERP will provide ECS with the capabilities it needs for ongoing expansion, efficient operations, and delivering the high level of customer service that it is known for.”

“Increased demand is a key reason we went looking for a new ERP solution,” said Adam Hilton, Chief Executive Officer at ECS. “With year-over-year expansion, we had outgrown our existing system and needed a next-gen ERP for tighter inventory tracking, integrated financial management, workflow automation, mobile capabilities, and complete material requirements planning (MRP). A few years ago, we implemented Salesforce and honed its CRM capabilities to our needs. In Rootstock, we saw the advantage of leveraging a solution built on this same platform, with which we are already familiar.”

Hilton and his team also recognized the value of Rootstock being purpose-built for manufacturing. “Other solution providers accused it of being a niche solution, but to us, a manufacturing ERP was exactly what we needed. Other vendors would have forced us through their sales and implementation funnel, like a square peg through a round hole. Rootstock showed us how its ERP could be configured to our unique business. As a result, members of our taskforce unanimously decided Rootstock was the solution for us,” said Hilton.

ECS expects to go live with Rootstock by the end of summer. Increased automation and efficiencies will enable it to focus on customer service and on creating better solutions for its client base. “We won’t need to spend as much time and energy on the mechanics of managing operations. Instead, Rootstock ERP will handle it for us, and our team will be freed up to focus on more strategic initiatives”.
