uShip, the fast, easy shipping platform for delivering the impossible, announced tech leader Sean Wu has joined the company as its chief executive officer. He replaces Heather Hoover-Salomon, who left the company in November.
Before joining uShip, Wu served two years as chief financial officer at Hologram.io, the IoT connectivity company, where he helped increase financial efficiency, dramatically stabilized the business, and drove market segment diversification that accelerated core customer growth.
Wu also spent six years as head of finance at real-time insights and predictive analytics company Fullstory. During his time there, the company grew from 30 to 700 employees and raised $150 million through three funding rounds.

“Sean brings to uShip his tremendous financial acumen and growth mindset at the ideal time for the company,” said Jim Martell, Chairman of the Board at uShip. “He’s been at the heart of accelerated core customer growth and scaled recurring revenue through key customer relationships. We’re excited to see how Sean and the team take uShip to the next level.”
In December, uShip announced the addition of 150 new shipping partners for 2024. These partners join a growing list of business shippers tapping into uShip’s diverse transporter network, which specializes in shipping large and bulky items.
“I’m thrilled to be taking the helm at uShip,” said Wu. “I am impressed with the foundation the entire uShip team has built over the last 21 years. That said, I took the job because I believe in marketplaces and see opportunities to scale customer segments and further grow revenue.”
