CHEP appoints Xavier Garijo CEO of the Americas

CHEP, a leader in supply chain solutions and a company belonging to the Brambles group, has appointed Xavier Garijo Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Americas. Garijo has held his position since January 1, 2024.

Xavier Garijo has 25 years of experience in global consumer goods logistics, operations and supply chains, across numerous industries and sectors. Recently, he was a member of the Executive Committee of DB Schenker, a leading German logistics services provider, where he was globally responsible for the contract logistics division, with a workforce of 40,000 employees in 60 countries. Before that, Garijo worked in the United States and Europe for 20 years, where he managed supply chains and end-to-end operations for companies such as Revlon, where he was Chief Supply Chain Officer and held roles of increasing responsibility at Reckitt Benckiser. and Unilever.

In this newly created position, Xavier Garijo will lead the Americas region that combines the business units of CHEP North America and CHEP Latin America. This change reflects the growing collaboration and interconnectivity between CHEP’s operations in North and Latin America and will help better serve the customers and distribution chains CHEP works with around the world.

On the path to transform operations in the Americas, Xavier Garijo will have the support of Paola Floris , who will continue as President of CHEP Latin America, a position she has held since July 2020. During this time, Floris has contributed important results together with her team, fruit of its commercial approach and customer service. Paola Floris began working at CHEP Italy in 2001 and has held various leadership positions in the company, including Country General Manager (CGM) in Italy and VP & CGM at CHEP Canada.
