Aqara unveils next-generation smart homes powered by spatial intelligence at IFA 2025

Aqara, a leading global company and pioneer in the Internet of Things (IoT), is set to reveal its latest in smart home technology at IFA 2025, presenting a range of new solutions designed to improve security, comfort and energy efficiency using sensors and artificial intelligence everywhere.

“At Aqara, we see spatial intelligence as the next frontier in smart home technology, and we’re proud to be at the forefront of this evolution,” said Cathy You, Senior Vice President of Global Business and Strategy at Aqara. “Our demonstrations at IFA highlight how advanced sensing, AI-powered insights, and contextual automation work together to deliver smarter environments-whether residential homes, offices, hotels, commercial spaces, or public facilities-that not only respond to user commands but also anticipate and adapt to their needs.”

New Aqara products being unveiled include the G400 Doorbell Camera (wired) for enhanced security, the energy-efficient W600 Radiator Thermostat , the H2 series of smart wall sockets and plugs for the EU and UK markets, and the versatile M200 Hub for seamless interoperability. Additionally, the company will unveil updates to its Aqara Home platform and HomeGuardian cloud services, offering a more intuitive experience. Aqara will demonstrate these innovations and other product prototypes at IFA 2025 (Booth 155, Hall 1.2, Messe Berlin).

Home security

Aqara expands its security portfolio with the introduction of the Doorbell Camera G400 (Wired) , which offers always-on surveillance at your front door. Designed for 24/7 use, this doorbell is IP65-rated and can be powered via PoE or a low-voltage adapter (8-24V AC/DC). The G400 boasts a 2K sensor and head-to-toe coverage, ensuring every detail is captured. The device supports cloud-based AI capabilities for face, package, vehicle, and animal detection, along with on-device motion and person detection. Like other Aqara doorbells, the G400 integrates easily with Apple Home (including HomeKit Secure Video), Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings, and Home Assistant (via RTSP), and offers flexible cloud and local storage options.

Aqara will present two home surveillance prototypes at IFA:

  • G510 Camera (Battery) – Aqara’s first battery-powered outdoor camera, featuring a built-in solar panel, 10,400mAh battery, 2.5K (2560×1440) resolution, color night vision, and on-device AI capabilities for people, vehicle, and package detection.
  • Home Station M410 – A multifunctional IoT hub designed as a central hub for home security. As a hub for Aqara cameras, it increases camera range and battery life while also offering high-capacity local storage, expandable with an HDD, SSD, or microSD card, for 24/7 video recording. The M410 also functions as a Matter hub, connecting Aqara and other third-party Matter devices.

Energy efficiency

Aqara introduces the next-generation Radiator Thermostat W600 , supporting Thread and Zigbee connectivity. This thermostat allows users to optimize their indoor climate with smart schedules, automations, or intuitive controls via a mobile app, virtual assistants, or a connected Climate Sensor W100. Compared to its predecessor, the W600 boasts an extended 2-year battery life and broader compatibility with RA, RAV, RAVL, Caleffi, Giacomini, and M28x1.5 valves.

Additionally, Aqara is expanding its H2 series of energy management devices for the EU and UK markets, including the H2 UK Wall Outlet with a built-in USB-C fast charger, the H2 Power Plug with EU and UK variants, and the IP44-rated H2 EU Outdoor Plug . A prototype of the H2 EU Power Strip will also be on display. These products feature Thread/Zigbee dual protocol support, Matter compatibility for future-proof interoperability, and energy monitoring capabilities that enable power-triggered automations in Aqara Home.
