John Ketchum Appointed Chairman of NextEra Energy

The board of directors of NextEra Energy, Inc. appointed President and Chief Executive Officer John Ketchum as chairman of the board, effective July 29, 2022, at which time he will serve as NextEra Energy’s chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer. Ketchum will succeed Jim Robo, who will be retiring as executive chairman effective on that date.

Ketchum became president and chief executive officer on March 1, 2022. Prior to that, he served in several senior executive positions since joining the company in 2002.
