Fisker Inc. announced that it plans to open a distribution center and start delivering Fisker Ocean SUVs in the first quarter of 2024.
Chairman and CEO Henrik Fisker said: “We have started deliveries in Europe and will deliver the first batch of vehicles to US customers on June 23. We are very pleased to enter the Chinese market later this year. We expect , China will be an important market for the development of electric vehicles in the future, and we believe that our vehicles will be very attractive. That’s why we have established an office there and plan to open a distribution center this year. I believe we will be the first It can be put into production in China next year, and it is expected to increase the production capacity of 75,000 Fisker ocean vehicles per year.”
At Fisker’s annual shareholder meeting on June 6, Chinese board member Daniel Foa outlined the company’s strengths in China.

He said: “First, China accounts for one-third of global car sales, about 26 million in 2022, of which 6-7 million are electric vehicles, accounting for about 25%. So far in 2023, this proportion has grown to around 27%. Second, the high-end and affordable car segment is growing faster than the regular car segment. Fisker is well-suited for this segment with its unique history, features and design.”
Foa added: “The acceptance of high-quality traditional international car brands in China has been high. Both government policy and consumer behavior are rapidly shifting to electrification. Fisker is one of only two pure electric car international companies, Can effectively replace traditional car brands. Therefore, when consumers buy a car, our car will appear on their final choice list, but our products can provide richer functions. Fisker’s leadership team recently visited China and met with officials and business leaders in Shanghai to discuss collaborations and opportunities in the region. The dialogue focused on the automotive supply chain, logistics, warehousing and future production developments.
The Fisker Ocean Extreme car costs $68,999 and has a 113 kWh (106 kWh usable) battery pack. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency estimates a range of 360 miles with standard 20-inch wheels and tires; in Europe, Fisker Ocean Extreme has a WLTP range of 707 kilometers with standard 20-inch wheels and tires /440 miles2 , the longest range of any electric off-road vehicle sold in Europe today. The all-electric SUV starts at $37,499 (Fisker’s Ocean Sport trim level).
