AUTOCRYPT, an automotive cybersecurity and mobility solutions company, showcased its embedded systems and V2X security solutions for software-defined vehicles (SDV) at CES 2024 and attracted attention with its intelligent fuzzing -Solution for automotive protocols attention.

On the evening of the event’s opening day, AUTOCRYPT’s Head of Security Research (CSRO), Dr. Jonghyuk Song , announced as the winner in the Experts category of the MotorTrend SDV Innovator Awards 2024, recognized for his groundbreaking research and leadership at AUTOCRYPT.
As Director of AUTOCRYPT’s Vehicle Threat Research Laboratory, Dr. Song led the lab in developing one of the world’s first fuzzing tools for vehicle protocols, including UDS, CAN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth LE and Ethernet. This sets the AutoCrypt security fuzzer apart from traditional fuzz testers and can detect vulnerabilities with exceptional accuracy and in significantly less time.

Throughout 2023, the VTR lab also collaborated with RWTH Aachen University to develop the AutoCrypt security fuzzer for HIL, which enables fuzzing in hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations. The team also regularly conducts aggressive security tests on vehicle control units and is recognized by major manufacturers as experts in ethical hacking.
