Nouscom, a biotechnology company developing cancer immunotherapies, has promoted Loredana Siani, Ph.D., to Chief Technology Officer (CTO). She will join the company’s executive team and lead its technology and manufacturing capabilities as it advances its clinical development programs.
Siani has led Nouscom’s chemistry, manufacturing, and controls (CMC) and manufacturing capabilities since 2020. Under her leadership, the company established processes for producing viral vectors both as off-the-shelf products at scale and as individualized treatments using an automated, closed manufacturing system developed by her team. These capabilities support clinical studies across North America and Europe.
In her expanded role, Siani will guide the company’s transition toward commercial-scale manufacturing. The appointment comes as Nouscom advances NOUS-209, its investigational cancer vaccine candidate designed for Lynch syndrome carriers, into a registration-enabling clinical trial.

Lynch syndrome is an inherited condition associated with an increased risk of developing several types of cancer. NOUS-209 is being developed to stimulate an immune response against cells carrying specific mutations associated with the condition. Its continued development will require manufacturing processes capable of supporting later-stage clinical studies and potential future commercialization, subject to regulatory approval.
Nouscom’s announcement follows the company’s €120 million Series D financing, which provides additional resources as it progresses its clinical programs and manufacturing operations.
Siani’s promotion highlights the importance of manufacturing leadership in biotechnology, where the ability to produce complex biological products consistently and at scale is essential to advancing investigational therapies through clinical development.
