Hadrian has signed a milestone seven-year agreement with defense prime Lockheed Martin to deploy automated manufacturing technology directly into Lockheed Martin’s Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) facility in Grand Prairie, Texas.
This follows an MOU that had been entered into between the two firms back in December 2025. By integrating Hadrian’s innovative software and manufacturing systems within the manufacturing space of the defense firm, both parties will be able to boost manufacturing capabilities of key U.S. missile systems such as PAC-3 MSE, THAAD, PrSM, and GMLRS.
Integrating Software Automation into Defense Production
Under the seven-year contract, Hadrian will integrate its proprietary Opus software platform and automated precision machining capabilities with Lockheed Martin‘s defense engineering and program expertise. The initiative establishes a hybrid production model that combines on-site, automated manufacturing cells with access to Hadrian’s broader national factory network to support fluctuating defense requirements.

The facility deployment is scheduled to begin commissioning in early 2027. Automated machining cells will be phased into the Grand Prairie facility over the course of the agreement, with each cell configured to support multiple missile components simultaneously.
“The warfighter can’t wait on peacetime timelines. Hadrian is bringing the automation, software, and workforce training from our own factories directly into Lockheed Martin, so we can produce more, faster. Rebuilding the Arsenal of Freedom at the scale America needs will take partnerships that combine expertise and speed, and this is what that looks like,” said Chris Power, CEO of Hadrian.
“Moving with wartime urgency to deliver the combat-proven capabilities the United States and our allied partners need at unprecedented scales requires innovative solutions and thinking differently,” said Tim Cahill, president, Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control. “This partnership brings together the world-class workforce and proven excellence of Lockheed Martin with Hadrian‘s expertise in commercial technology, ensuring we take the best of both companies to meet the mission.”
Strengthening Supply Chain Resiliency for Defense Infrastructure
Operating directly within Lockheed Martin’s manufacturing ecosystem provides an agile model for expanding domestic defense manufacturing capacity. By embedding automated production cells directly at the point of assembly, the partnership mitigates supply chain bottlenecks and reduces transit lead times for critical machined components. Furthermore, the dual-layer architecture gives Lockheed Martin the flexibility to offload surge capacity into Hadrian’s external factory network as global demand for deterrent platforms evolves.
