Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation has launched the DCL32xx00 Series, four dual-channel standard digital isolators designed for industrial equipment requiring reliable signal transmission, low power consumption and compact designs. The new products consume 0.2mA per channel at typical conditions, support data transmission speeds up to 25Mbps and use an industry-standard SOIC8-N package. The lineup includes DCL320C00 and DCL320D00 with two forward channels for unidirectional communications such as I2C, and DCL321C00 and DCL321D00 with one forward and one reverse channel for bidirectional communications such as UART. The isolators use Toshiba’s proprietary magnetic coupling isolation technology and a new circuit design that reduces power consumption while maintaining stable signal transmission.

Rated for a minimum isolation voltage of 3000Vrms, the devices operate across a temperature range of -40°C to 125°C and supply voltages from 2.25V to 5.5V. The launch expands Toshiba’s low-power standard digital isolator portfolio for industrial equipment to 10 products, providing additional channel-count and package options. The devices are intended for applications including programmable logic controllers, actuators and inverters, where electrical isolation helps prevent noise-related malfunctions and equipment failures. With industrial systems becoming more compact and energy-efficient, the new series supports designs focused on reliability, lower power consumption and long-term operation while contributing to Toshiba’s broader digital isolation portfolio.
