onPhase has appointed Boyce Adams as Chief Payments Officer, bringing more than two decades of experience across payments, fintech, and B2B software to the company’s leadership team. In his new role, Adams will oversee the company’s payments vision, strategy, and execution.
Adams joins onPhase after serving as a Senior Operating Advisor at Aquiline Capital Partners, where he held board and advisory positions across its fintech and payments portfolio. He was also previously President and CEO of BankTEL, where he helped scale the company to serve more than 2,000 financial institutions before its acquisition by AvidXchange in 2019. He subsequently joined AvidXchange’s executive team and served through its 2021 initial public offering.

The appointment comes as payments become increasingly connected to broader finance and accounts payable operations. onPhase is looking to expand its payments capabilities and strengthen the connection between invoices, approvals, documentation, and payment activity.
Adams will also work on developing partnerships and extending the company’s payments roadmap. His experience across financial software, payments infrastructure, and fintech leadership positions him to guide this area as onPhase continues developing its integrated finance and operations platform.
