Ryder System, Inc a leading supply chain, dedicated transportation, and commercial fleet management solutions company, announced the appointment of John J. Diez Chief Executive Officer. He was named CEO on March 31, 2026. He is part of Ryder’s executive leadership team, contributing to the company’s strategic direction and operational management. Mr. Diez was also elected to the Ryder board of directors in March 2026.
Most recently, Mr. Diez served as Ryder’s president and chief operating officer (COO), where he oversaw the operations of the company’s three business segments: Fleet Management Solutions (FMS), Supply Chain Solutions (SCS), and Dedicated Transportation Solutions (DTS). Prior to his COO role, Mr. Diez was the executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) of Ryder, managing all financial functions for the company. His previous experience also includes serving as the president of FMS, where he led global fleet operations, and as president of the DTS unit, where he set the strategic direction for dedicated transportation services.

Mr. Diez joined Ryder in 2002 and has extensive experience in various senior leadership positions within the company. Prior to joining Ryder, he was an audit senior manager at KPMG LLP.
Additionally, Mr. Diez serves on boards of Trinity Industries, Inc., the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and the Jackson Health Foundation. Mr. Diez also holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Accounting from Florida International University.
