GRF Expands Aerospace & Defense Focus with New SatCom Initiative

Guerrilla RF, a leading provider of state-of-the-art radio frequency (RF) and microwave semiconductors, announced its expanded focus and readiness to support the rapidly evolving Satellite Communications (SatCom) market. With a deep portfolio spanning low-noise small-signal devices through high-power RF power amplifiers, Guerrilla RF now offers more than 100 component solutions engineered for mission-critical SatCom applications across both ground-based infrastructure and spaceborne platforms.

As commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) devices, Guerrilla RF’s components are becoming increasingly popular choices for engineers seeking cost-effective, readily available, and field-proven high-performance RFICs. These solutions enable designers to accelerate development cycles while maintaining the performance and reliability demanded by modern satellite communications systems.

“The SatCom market is undergoing a period of rapid transformation, driven by the proliferation of LEO constellations, the expansion of military SATCOM architectures, and the emergence of NTN/Direct-to-Cell connectivity,” said Jim Ahne, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Guerrilla RF. “Our SatCom customer base continues to grow rapidly, with multiple platforms moving from design-in to production. We continue to see new use cases emerging-especially on the commercial side of the market—where customers are using our COTS devices to provide novel means of satellite connectivity. In particular, the NTN/Direct-to-Cell market has been an excellent fit for GRF given our strong portfolio of broadband RFIC components.”

As part of Guerrilla RF’s continued emphasis on addressing the needs of the Aerospace and Defense market, the company has introduced a new SatCom product selection guide highlighting its RFIC solutions for both ground terminals and spaceborne platforms. The guide is being released in advance of SATSHOWWEEK to help engineers and system architects more easily identify Guerrilla RF solutions for emerging satellite communication architectures.

Guerrilla RF’s RFIC solutions address both the uplink and downlink paths of satellite communication architectures, supporting a wide range of SatCom applications including:

  • MUOS Tactical Radios — UHF satellite communications for military manpack and vehicular systems
  • C- and Ku-Band Satellite Transponders — high-linearity amplification for space-borne payloads
  • S-Band TT&C (Telemetry, Tracking and Control) — reliable signal chain solutions for satellite command and control
  • C-, X-, and Ku-Band VSAT Ground Terminals — low-noise and high-power solutions for broadband satellite access
  • Ka/Q/V/T/E-Band Ground Terminals — high-frequency solutions for next-generation high-throughput satellite (HTS) systems
  • NTN/Direct-to-Cell Satellite Arrays — enabling the growing non-terrestrial network ecosystem for mobile broadband connectivity

The release of the new SatCom product selection guide supports Guerrilla RF’s participation in next week’s SATSHOWWEEK exhibition at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. Guerrilla RF sales and marketing personnel will be present at Richardson RFPD’s Booth 3131 to answer questions and provide guidance on the company’s full RFIC portfolio, including LNAs, gain blocks, drivers, power amplifiers, RF switches, RF power detectors, and DSAs/DVGAs.
