CharterUP and HOLON Collaborate on Autonomous Shuttle Adoption

CharterUP, North America’s leading enterprise platform for group and shuttle transportation delivering AI-first, turnkey mobility solutions, announced a strategic partnership with HOLON, a provider of an integrated 360° autonomous mobility solution centered on its purpose-built autonomous shuttle. The collaboration brings together HOLON’s end-to-end autonomous mobility ecosystem with CharterUP’s AI-first platform, nationwide operator network, and proven deployment capabilities-creating a scalable and operationally practical pathway for organizations to introduce autonomous services within existing transportation systems.

Through this partnership, CharterUP will deploy HOLON’s integrated autonomous offering across its established AI-enabled mobility network, including higher-education campuses, airports, public transit agencies, and community environments. The joint solution combines HOLON’s autonomous technology stack, system components, and operational backbone with CharterUP’s end-to-end software platform and on-the-ground deployment expertise.

The turnkey mobility solutions offered by CharterUP, from vehicles to drivers, technology, and fleet management, will now be supplemented by access to HOLON’s urban autonomous shuttles for specific use cases. This new approach to the service model will give institutions and mobility operators a straightforward and easy way to integrate autonomous mobility solutions into their current offerings.

CharterUP and HOLON are poised to bring about a rapid shift from human-operated transportation to next-generation autonomous mobility solutions.

Supporting the transition to autonomous transportation

Under the partnership, CharterUP will serve as the exclusive partner within defined deployment scenarios, enabling customers to pilot and adopt HOLON’s integrated autonomous mobility solutions inside their current transportation environments.

“This partnership accelerates our mission to redefine group mobility by bringing AI-first intelligence and autonomous capability into real-world transportation operations,” said Armir Harris, Founder and CEO of CharterUP. “By offering HOLON’s mobility solutions to our customers, we can help organizations evolve their transportation networks responsibly, starting with human-driven operations and transitioning to fully autonomous shuttles when they are ready. This is a major step toward safer, more efficient, and more modern transportation.”

Today, the shuttle and bus services offered by CharterUP are provided by professionally managed, human-driven fleets using its proprietary AI-first technology platform. With this partnership, CharterUP will enable its customers to integrate autonomous mobility solutions into their operations, which will facilitate a transition as the regulatory environment, safety, and readiness evolve.

HOLON urban: purpose-built for autonomous operations

The HOLON urban shuttle is the foundation of HOLON’s integrated mobility solution and has been purpose-designed for shared public transportation environments. Key capabilities include:

Level 4 autonomous operation

Automotive-grade safety and durability, manufactured in the United States

ADA-compliant, barrier-free accessibility

Fully electric, zero-emission propulsion

High-capacity shared-ride configuration

The shuttle has a seating capacity of up to 15 people and comes with a full sensor suite, including lidar, radar, and cameras, and is capable of fixed route and on-demand services at a speed of up to 37 mph. The shuttle is designed for airports, cities, corporate campuses, and campus-style environments and is aimed at reducing congestion and promoting sustainable mobility.

“Partnering with CharterUP is an important step in bringing autonomous mobility into everyday transportation networks,” said Sven Herzig, Chief Sales Officer at HOLON. “By combining HOLON’s integrated 360° mobility solution with CharterUP’s proven deployment expertise and national reach, we are enabling organizations to adopt autonomous transit safely, sustainably, and at scale-from early pilots to full operations.”

“BENTELER Mobility provides the operational and infrastructural foundation needed to run autonomous services reliably,” added Tobias Liebelt, CEO of BENTELER Mobility. “Together, we create a realistic, low-risk pathway from pilots to long-term autonomous operations. Autonomous mobility depends on a tightly integrated ecosystem working seamlessly together and this collaboration brings exactly that into real-world transportation.”

HOLON leverages the 150-year engineering tradition of the BENTELER Group, a global Tier-1 supplier with extensive knowledge in vehicle engineering, production, and large-scale industrial operations. With its partners ioki and BENTELER Mobility, HOLON provides a holistic and scalable autonomous mobility solution that encompasses all essential parts, ranging from vehicles and software to fleet management and operations, as well as infrastructure and financing solutions.

The autonomous technology of HOLON is constantly being improved in both Europe and the United States. This is made possible through the support of regulatory approvals, production facilities, and pilot projects. This presents a great opportunity for CharterUP and HOLON to work together in promoting the adoption of autonomous transportation.
